Vision of Ministry for 2023-2024

Together, we will find a new way to be a smaller congregation that is loving and justice-seeking.  We will do this by focusing our ministries around:

Radical Welcome,

Kindness, and

Empowerment.

We recognize that finding our way will require having the grace and courage to change, to encourage new ideas, and to share responsibilities across the entire congregation.

Visions of Ministry from Past Years

Vision of Ministry for 2022-2023

Nurture those who seek our community

People are trying to figure out their lives again. We can be part of that.

Nurture Those Who Walk Through Our Doors

Some of those people will actually walk through the doors of our sanctuary. Nurture them.

Vision of Minstery for 2021-2022

Nurture Our Connections

Reconnect to each other. Reconnect to the place. Reconnect to the community.

Vision of Ministry for 2020-2021

Provide Sanctuary.

Use the outdoors to sustain community. Protect our campus for generations to come. Offer sanctuary to those in need of safety.

Re-imagine Beloved Community.

Practice meeting poverty, racism, and militarization with love. The world is not going to get better overnight; learn to have difficult and compassionate conversations.

Communicate Effectively.

Give people time to process new information. Communicate in multiple ways. Strive to be consistent in your messages.

Vision of Ministry for 2019 - 2020

Nurture our ministries through trust and empowerment

We worked to create a culture of ministerial innovation. New ideas are encouraged and the process by which programs are started and ended was defined.

Welcome

We trained and supported the congregation in the codes of conduct and expanded the conversations around racism and white supremacy.

Engage as an INTERGENERATIONAL force for justice

We understood that action for justice takes many forms. We rejoiced in the many ways that individual and teams support this work.
