Noah’s Pudding, A Cup of Kindness

October 15, 2017

Dan Rosemergy, our Minister Emeritus, serves on the Atlantic Institute, TN Advisory Board which is committed to building cross-cultural and interfaith dialogue and cooperation. They sponsor a wide range of programs including offering samples of Noah's Pudding to congregations and organizations as a way to share this traditional dessert, tell the ancient story, and offer a "cup of kindness" with the belief that sharing life's blessings is the best way to sustain them for all. We welcome them again (some may remember we welcomed them while Dan was our minister). The pudding is a Turkish dessert congree that is made of a mixture consisting of grains, fruits, dried fruits, and nuts. Samples will be available following worship on Sunday, October 15. This is part of the culinary tradition of Turkey as well as many of the surrounding countries like Greece; Christian and Jewish cultures, as well as Muslims, share similar versions of this dessert under a variety of names.
