June 23, 2018: Nashville Pride Equality Walk

  • Public Square Park Nashville (map)

June 23, 2018 10:00am

Happy Pride Month Everyone!

Please join Greater Nashville UU Congregation at the Nashville Pride Equality Walk on Saturday, June 23th. The walk begins at 10 am. Line up for the walk begins at 9:30 am. If you pre-purchase wristbands before the walk, it will be faster to enter the festival when we finish. Tickets for the Festival are $5. Kids 10 and under are free. This is a very family friendly event!

The walk begins at 2nd and Commerce. The line up will begin there and go down Union towards the Woodland St. bridge.  There will be numbers on the fence along Union St. Our group will be assigned a starting position, which we will know next week. After the walk, we will explore the festival.

This year's walk organizer is Caren.  If you think you can make the march, please let Caren know so she can keep an eye out for you. We usually create a text group to keep in touch and find each other during the event.

If you have a "Side with Love" T-shirt, wear it.  (To order a "Side with Love" T-shirt, go to the UUA Bookstore  https://www.uuabookstore.org/Side-with-Love-C1401.aspx. This is completely optional!)

We will also have our rainbow "Standing on the Side of Love" banner. Plus,  Rev. Carmen has ordered rainbow wristbands for us to throw!

See information below about Parking.
