Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, 3:00pm: “The Fierce Urgency of Now” NOAH Virtual Public Meeting - Save the date

“Unprecedented” is the word for 2020. Nashville's financial crisis! The COVID pandemic exposing long-standing inequities! A coming tidal wave of evictions from people not able to pay their rent! The killing of African-Americans by police! Demonstrations nation-wide!

On Sunday, October 25, at 3:00 PM, NOAH will hold its first large Zoom Public Meeting: “The Fierce Urgency of Now!” NOAH task forces will be outlining our work on Criminal Justice, Education, Affordable Housing, and Economic Equity – and what needs to happen NOW!  Local and state decision-makers, including Mayor Cooper, Deputy Police Chief Lokey, Director of Schools Dr. Battle, Metro Council members, MNPS school board members, and legislative candidates, have been invited to attend and make commitments to act upon these issues that affect us all. The mayor and several state legislative candidates, including senate district 20 candidate Heidi Campbell, have already promised to attend.

Our own Rev. Cynthia Cain will be delivering the invocation.
