Ordination by GNUUC and FUUN of
Cynthia Stewart to the UU Ministry

The ordination of ministers by Unitarian Universalist congregations is one of the great responsibilities and blessings of the congregational polity inherited from our theological ancestors (the Puritans!).

GNUUC recently voted to co-ordain, together with First UU Nashville, our ministerial intern, Dr. Cynthia Stewart. Please join us at FUUN on Sunday, February 18, 2018 as we participate in this special event. Steve & Denise Graves have been invited to light the chalice; Rev. Carmen Emerson will deliver the Ordination Prayer & Laying on of Hands; the GNUUC Youth Group has been invited to join the FUUN Youth Group as ushers for the event; and GNUUC President, Kathy Morante, will join FUUN’s president, Jeff Stein, in the Act of Ordination.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime event for Cynthia, and we hope you’ll be there in support and fellowship!
