Here at Greater Nashville UU, in addition to the website and Wed e-blast, we use two programs to help disburse information, Breeze and Slack (see below).
Slack/Breeze Installation Training
This Sunday, June 8, at 1 PM, bring your device (laptop, tablet, or phone) and Kristin can train you on installing Slack and/or Breeze. Slack is a messenger app that we can use to communicate quickly with one another without knowing people’s phone numbers. Breeze is our member database where you can look up phone numbers, as well as check on your contributions.
Breeze Member Database
Breeze is where you can see all the contributions you have made to Greater Nashville UU, as well as look up Members and Friends emails and phone numbers. If you are tagged as a church leader, you can also fill out Forms.
To access Breeze, you need an invite link emailed to you. If you are a member or regular friend, ask kristin.reveal@gnuuc.org
Breeze can be installed on your phone or on a computer or tablet.
Open Breeze through our website:
1) Go to https://www.nashvilleuu.org/
2) From the Members menu, choose “Go to Breeze Member Directory”
OR go directory to: https://gnuuc.breezechms.com/
Slack Messerger
Slack allows you to join different tagged groups such as “General” for general information, or “hospitality” for Sunday lunch, or teams, such as “shared ministries” or “auction.” Once you are in the group, you can send and receive text messages with group members, as well as share photos or documents.
For example, if we wanted to coordinate a participation in the NO KINGS Nationwide Day of Defiance protest on January 14, we could do this on Slack.
Slack can be installed on your phone or on a computer or tablet.
To access Slack, you need an invite link. If you are a member or regular friend, ask kristin.reveal@gnuuc.org
Once you get the link, follow the directions to install slack on your device. Turn on notifications if you want updates.
