This spring the Adult Faith Formations Class will be exploring mysticism. Experiences of oneness, visions of the divine, deep recognition of mystery at the heart of the ordinary - all of these find a home under the heading "mysticism." Mystics are found in all religions and also in secular settings; the deep knowing of the mystic goes beyond the boundaries of stated creeds or dogmas. In this ongoing series we will explore what mysticism is, the effects of mystics on diverse belief systems (including Unitarian Universalism), and what mysticism looks like in a 21st century setting.
Classes start on February 3, 2019 and will be on the 1st Sundays: 9:30 - 10:30 AM in the RE Building main room.
All are welcome! Childcare is provided.
Facilitator: Rev. Cynthia Stewart
