Book group will read Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, by Yuval Noah Harari for discussion at 7 p.m. on February 15 at the Vanderkooi’s home, 1412 Graybar Lane.  “From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives….,and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.” At this meeting, we will discuss the first two sections of this book, with the plan to read the rest of the book for the March meeting.  Guests bring snacks, hosts provide beverages.  Everyone welcome.
