Please Join Us on April 23, 2022 at 3:30 PM to Celebrate the Life of Barbara B. with Family and Friends
Please come ready to celebrate Barbara’s life. Traditional dark clothing is not required.
The memorial service will begin at 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 23. We will be visiting the church’s Still Spring Memorial Garden after the service to plant a tree in her honor. The service will be available via Zoom for friends and family unable to attend in person. You will need to register with your name and email to join.
A reception will follow at the Vanderbilt Bridge Club, 85 White Bridge Road, Nashville, TN.

At GNUUC, the Auction is more than just a fundraiser. We decorate, have food and entertainment, and have a great time! This year our theme is “Country Fair.”
We are planning for an outdoor Live Auction, so everyone can attend.
The Silent Auction will be indoors. However, all items can be bid on via the Auction phone app, which has photos.
Tickets will be $15 and include dinner and lemonade/tea, plus tickets for the carnival items. Children 12 and under are free but must have a child’s ticket to attend.
Food will be BBQ and sides. (Meat and Vegetarian - Ryan D. says he knows of a Jack Fruit recipe!)
This year we will also have a Country Fair as entertainment. There will be a tasting for Specialty Food in the auction, popcorn, shaved ice, carnival-type games with a prize table.

Tuesday Office Hours 10:00am - 2:00pm
Our office administrator Kris will be in the office on Tuesdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Please email Kris if you plan to stop by. Rev. Denise will also be in the office on Tuesdays, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, but may have scheduled meetings during that time. Please email ahead of time if you want to be sure she is available. Dates may change as refurbishment of the building is scheduled.

Thank You GNUUC - Ukraine Sunflower of Peace, March 13 Special Collection
Thank you for your response to the GNUUC special collection on Sunday, March 13, 100% for the Sunflower of Peace; providing first aid and humanitarian support to the besieged Ukrainian people. We raised $627.50 for Sunflower of Peace. We are sending this amount now to Sunflower of Peace to help the Ukrainian people, experiencing a brutal military invasion of Ukraine by Russia, including war crimes against the Ukrainian people.
There is one more Sunday to contribute!

March's Share the Plate is the Sunflower of Peace
Sunflower of Peace is a US-based 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization whose current mission is to provide medical and humanitarian aid for people affected by violence in Ukraine. Sunflower of Peace was founded in 2014 and since then has worked on empowering orphans, internally displaced persons, and, recently, those most affected by COVID-19 and the Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
Still Spring Garden: In between the rain storms, sunlight shines.
We may have had snow, rain, sleet and hail, but between the daily deluge, Sandy B. and Jane W. still find moments to brighten up the garden for our spring visitors. Flowers are already starting to peek through the soil to get ready for the sun.

Walden’s Puddle: Our January Share the Plate Partner
Our Share the Plate partner for January is Walden’s Puddle Wildlife Center of Greater Nashville. Walden’s Puddle provides care and treatment to sick, injured, and orphaned native Tennessee wildlife. A professionally-staffed wildlife rehabilitation facility in Middle Tennessee, Walden’s Puddle does not charge for services and receives no federal or state funding. “We are here to help wildlife in trouble.”
