GNUUC Board Adopts Resolution in Support of the Proposed 8th Unitarian Universalist Principle

We, the Board of the Greater Nashville Unitarian Universalist Congregation, support the adoption of the proposed 8th Unitarian Universalist principle.

To us, the 8th principle says: We will work to make the world a place where everyone feels loved. We promise to help get rid of racism and the other ways people are made to feel unloved.

We invite the congregation to think about what this 8th principle means to them individually and what it would mean to the whole congregation.

We will help create opportunities for members of the congregation to talk about the 8th principle in the coming months.

We plan to ask for a congregational vote on the adoption of the 8th principle at the May 2022 Congregational meeting.
