GNUUC Work Day, Saturday, April 6, 9 am - noon
If able bring a wheelbarrow, garden wagon, or bucket. Gloves, a shovel, hat, and sunblock are recommended. We will clear out the mulch pile, moving it to landscaping areas in the breezeway, along garden trails and the remainder to the playground. We have rakes for those who prefer less strenuous activity. We will move two cement benches from the trail to the garden if time allows. Come for as much time as you are able. Happy gardening!
Spring is Blooming in the Memorial Garden
The next time you are on campus, please walk through the memorial garden to see all the new spring blossoms.
Work Day Success on May 31, 2023
Many thanks to all those who helped with the GNUUC Spring Cleanup Work Day and exceptional potluck lunch on May 28. Twenty members working as individuals, pairs and groups cleaned, culled and organized the shed, trimmed most of the bushes around the Main Bldg and some grass along the parking lot, removed bamboo from our side of the fence, prepped the RE Building entry stairs for painting, put down mulch on some of the garden trails, removed poison hemlock and half the weeds/grass from the playground area, filled woodpecker holes on the gazebo and shed, cleaned and repainted one set of metal table/chairs near the gazebo and degreased most of the kitchen walls and appliances. For those items not completed, additional action items will be posted on the Action Board for later completion when volunteers feel the urge. Thanks to the following hard-working attendees: Jane S, Jane W, Sandy, Larry, Jon, Brandy, Cody, Nat, Kristin, Mirabelle, Theresa, Wayne, Mike, Elizabeth, Gene, Denise, Steve, Bonnie, Carol, and Dan!
Sunday, May 28, 2023: B&G Work Day (8:30 - noon) + Potluck (noon - 1 PM) NOTE UPDATED TIMES
Join us this Sunday, May 28, for a few hours to spruce up our campus and enjoy a communal potluck lunch. This event is in leu of a Sunday service.
B&G Work Day: We are so happy to have Carol and Dan L. as our new B&G chairs and they have some volunteer projects for us!
Come anytime on Sunday 8:30 AM - noon and pick a volunteer task. If you are an early birder and show up at 8:30 AM, Nathanael will lead us in a short opening meditation.
It looks like it’s going to be a nice but cool day. Wear your work clothes, and bring work gloves and gardening tools if you have them. We will be concentrating on trimming shrubbery, weeding, mulching the garden trails, painting the outdoor furniture and cleaning out the shed…or does this seem too ambitious? We will have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
Potluck: The Potluck will be from noon - 1 PM.
We look forward to seeing you!
NO SUNDAY SERVICE THIS SUNDAY!

Still Spring Garden: In between the rain storms, sunlight shines.
We may have had snow, rain, sleet and hail, but between the daily deluge, Sandy B. and Jane W. still find moments to brighten up the garden for our spring visitors. Flowers are already starting to peek through the soil to get ready for the sun.

The Memorial Garden in August
The garden needs your help! Sandy B needs assistance in the garden. This would be a great opportunity for a student group or covenant group to volunteer. The weather is amazing and it is a perfect time to get some work done in the shade.
The Memorial Garden in July
