Preparing for the Future - A Look at Flood Resilience for Nashville
Dr. Janey Camp, Vanderbilt Engineering Professor
Join us as Dr. Janey Camp, Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt, presents information about flooding as it impacts the Nashville community and what we can do to be better prepared and be resilient. We’ll discuss what the term 100-year storm event really means and looks like, how climate changes may affect precipitation trends in our region in the future, local flood mitigation efforts, and related policies. In addition, she’ll present some things you can do yourself to help Nashville be more resilient to flooding moving forward.
