NOAH Criminal Justice Task Force will be meeting Monday, August 28, at 6:00 pm, at Greater Bethel AME, 1300 South Street. They will offer updates on their work, and welcome your questions, in these areas they are addressing:

• Police practices: body camera policy; MNPD best practices; Community Oversight Board

• Diversion of mentally ill, from incarceration to treatment programs, working with: Tennessee Commission for Mental Health and Substance Abuse; Metro Public Health Director; Sheriff Hall and Mayor’s Office

• Disparities in school discipline, working with: Director of Schools; Dr. Shawn Joseph, School Board; PASSAGES Steering Comm; MNPS Next Advisory Committee
