Share the Plate April: Gideon's Army
Gideon’s Army is a community-based, grassroots organization that works to design programs, based on contemporary interpretations of the theory of restorative justice.
You can now donate to Share the Plate using your phone!
Send a text that says “$10 SHARE” to (615) 246-5553. (or your preferred amount)
The first time you donate it will ask you to set up how you’d like to pay.
After that, you can just pay with text any time you want by sending the amount you want to pay and “SHARE.”
Text to pay is run through Breeze, so you’ll receive an accounting of what you have paid for lunch at the end of the year, separated out from your other donations.

Form: GNUUC Community Response Volunteer Request
Our goal is to create a list of folks who have time, expertise, and interest in helping respond to community needs. At GNUUC we have a stellar group of folks in our Pastoral Care Team. We want to have an extra layer of volunteers to support them if the need arises. (With coronavirus, for example, it might be helping with childcare, grocery shopping, caregiving, or distance support through phone calls.)
Please fill out this form so that we know how you can help: GNUUC Community Response Volunteer Form
How do I get an announcement or event into the weekly e-blast?
If you would like an announcement or event to be on our Facebook page, Twitter or e-blast, please use the forms that are found in Breeze.
Memorial Garden in March
March 19 - vernal equinox. You will see beautiful colors and vistas on a walk in the gardens. Note the tall magnolia tree that is filling out nicely. Caren saved it last summer from strangulation by an ancient grapevine.

Unsung heroes! Thank you, RE children and youth and their teachers, for putting out birdseed every week for our feathered friends. Thank you, Gene B, for trimming the liriope (monkey grass).
