Our Share the Plate Partner for March is “Razom” (‘Together’) for Ukraine
Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, believes deeply in the enormous potential of dedicated volunteers around the world united by a single goal: to unlock the potential of Ukraine. Razom works towards that mission by creating spaces where people meet, partner and do.
February Board Meeting Summary
The treasurer presented the finance report, noting pledge income may come in lower than budgeted. Insurance and asphalt repairs have increased expenses significantly. Getting additional asphalt repair quotes was discussed.
Discussing the congregation's 30th anniversary coming up in 2024, suggestions included celebrating with a special pledge drive theme highlighting the past 30 years and vision for the next 30. A homecoming event in the fall was also proposed.
The Board conducted a self-assessment. The facilitator closed by thanking the Board for their self-reflection.
Continued progress on visioning the future and sustainability goals will help ensure GNUUC's next 30 years are as strong as the past 30 have been.
Please email board@gnuuc.org if you have any questions or suggestions.

Early Voting Ends Next Tuesday, February 27
Early voting for the March 5 primary election is underway at all locations, including new locations at the Bellevue Community Center, Goodlettsville Library, Hillwood High School, and South Inglewood Community Center. In addition to the presidential preference primary, there are important races for Circuit Court Judge, Division IV, 20th Judicial District, Assessor of Property, and School Board. A schedule is here.

Pledge Year 2023-24 starts on July 1

If you are interested in setting up a recurring payment in Breeze rather than sending a payment through your bank or a check in the donation box, please let Kris know and she’ll be happy to help with that process.
If you would like a statement on the status of your current 22/23 pledge, Kris can send you that information. We appreciate every pledge and contribution. Thank you for your continued support of GNUUC.
Work Day Success on May 31, 2023
Many thanks to all those who helped with the GNUUC Spring Cleanup Work Day and exceptional potluck lunch on May 28. Twenty members working as individuals, pairs and groups cleaned, culled and organized the shed, trimmed most of the bushes around the Main Bldg and some grass along the parking lot, removed bamboo from our side of the fence, prepped the RE Building entry stairs for painting, put down mulch on some of the garden trails, removed poison hemlock and half the weeds/grass from the playground area, filled woodpecker holes on the gazebo and shed, cleaned and repainted one set of metal table/chairs near the gazebo and degreased most of the kitchen walls and appliances. For those items not completed, additional action items will be posted on the Action Board for later completion when volunteers feel the urge. Thanks to the following hard-working attendees: Jane S, Jane W, Sandy, Larry, Jon, Brandy, Cody, Nat, Kristin, Mirabelle, Theresa, Wayne, Mike, Elizabeth, Gene, Denise, Steve, Bonnie, Carol, and Dan!
