A Moral Nashville Budget Requires $30 Million for the Barnes Fund
For 10 years, the Barnes Housing Trust Fund has been a vital tool for creating and maintaining affordable housing in this city during one of the worst housing crises in Nashville's history. Last year, Nashville's leaders ignored the Unified Housing Strategy recommendation of $30m for the Barnes Fund. This means the city's most valuable producer of affordable housing can not live up to its potential, and we will be stuck playing catch-up until Nashville is unrecognizable. With a full investment of $30,000,000 into this fund this upcoming fiscal year, we could see over 700 affordable units built! Send a message to your councilmember and urge them to commit to choosing Nashville, and fight for a full investment of $30,000,000 into the Barnes Housing Trust Fund!

Cut the Cord with AT&T!
On Saturday, March 7, NOAH led an electrifying rally and action - picketing the AT&T store on West End Avenue - to get the corporation and consumers to pull out of their relationship with ICE. Consumer support for AT&T and AT&T's contract with ICE means technology, data, and communications that facilitate the abduction of our immigrant neighbors. This is a red line that should not be crossed; we say NO MORE BUSINESS WITH AT&T as long as they are doing business with ICE!
Using the QR code below, please send a message to AT&T CEO John Stankey and let him know you will not upgrade or buy from AT&T unless they cancel their contracts with ICE and CBP and pledge not to sign new ones.

NOAH in a Nutshell
Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH) is an anti-racist, inter-faith coalition of congregations, community organizations, and labor unions (around 70 member organizations). We aim to amplify the power of ordinary people so that their voices are heard in the public arena. GNUUC is a founding member of NOAH.
NOAH is a member of Gamaliel, a national network of local organizations committed to building political power by uniting people of different races and faiths.
NOAH engages ordinary people in the political and economic decisions affecting their lives, acting as a unified voice for the faith and justice community to act on its values in the public arena. NOAH does not endorse political candidates but gets them to endorse our issues agenda, and pledge to work with NOAH if they are elected.
Currently, NOAH has four task forces, selected at its most recent Issues Convention: Affordable Housing; Education; Economic Equity, Jobs, and Transportation; and Transformational Justice. Additionally, there are three working groups: the Faith Leaders Caucus, made up of clergy members, Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE), which engages with voters about the issues they care about, and, more recently, the Immigrant Rights Campaign, which has partnered with The Remix to provide Know Your Rights trainings, among other things.
