Join the Auction Task Force
Did you know that our largest fundraiser of the year is our Annual Auction? This fun event raises over $8,000 for our congregation.
Mary Ellen and Sarajane have left HUGE shoes to fill, however, I know that if we are organized and all work together we can make this event as successful as ever!
We are creating an Auction Task Force that will meet once a month from September through February so that we can track our progress towards this large event. The Auction Date has been set for Saturday, February 17. (It is earlier this year so as not to conflict with preparation for the Pledge Drive.) Think Valentine's theme!
We need you to volunteer!
We need three coordinators: Live Action Coordinator, Silent Auction Coordinator, and Dinner Coordinator. Kris Thresher will be the Technology Coordinator and Kristin Reveal will be the Master Organizer.
PLUS, we need around six volunteers to help each of the three coordinators. Volunteers will have smaller tasks - like recruiting servers for dinner, recruiting "themed" dinners for the live auction, or visiting local destinations to ask for gift certificates.
Please RSVP to Kristin Reveal if you can make the first Planning Session on September 24, from 12:30 - 1:30.
Kristin and Kris will have prepared statistics from our auction software of how much each item, and category of items, earned last year. Plus, we will have a to-do-list of tasks and preparation time-line.
