Join Us Sept 16: Shakespeare in the Park

The Winter's Tale

Directed by Santiago Sosa
Shakespeare's fanciful story will be set in a fairy tale world of contrasting peoples inspired by the diverse South American cultures during the Gran Colombia era and will feature original music.

Please join us for Shakespeare in the Park on Saturday, September 16, from 6 PM until 10 PM at the Centennial Park Bandshell. Map of Centennial Park.

The play the youth have chosen to see this year is The Winter's T. Find details at: http://nashvilleshakes.org/shakespeareinthepark.htm

If you are able, bring $10 for the suggested donation plus extra money for food trucks! Food trucks on the 28th include: Deg Thai, Jeni's Ice Cream, King Tut's, Lil Choo Choo BBQ, and Moosehead Kettle Corn. Or bring a picnic dinner.

Also bring a blanket or quilt and a pillow of some sort to sit on. (We will sit on the lawn. If you prefer you are welcome to bring a lawn chair and sit in front of the bleachers, or sit on the bleachers instead.)

Show up at 6 PM to claim our spot on the lawn and get dinner. "Talking Shakespeare" starts at 6:00, the pre-show entertainment, Jazz Alliance, starts at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:30.  If you can't make it at 6 PM, text Kristin and let her know so that we save a spot for you. (It fills up very quickly!)

Youth Group only: You are welcome to attend without your parent IF you email me and get a permission slip. Kristin and Nathanael will chaperone. Your parent will need to drop you off and pick you up. We will coordinate times and drop off places once I get a list of youth.
